*Emergency*

This is super out of my comfort zone, but I’m running out of options.

This is my cat Pixel. We adopted her two years ago as I needed an ESA. She’s the light of my life. She loves chicken, toys with feathers, and treats. And, she’s dying.

In the two years we’ve had her we had no idea she was FIV+ until she was too sick for the doctors to easily help her. Her immune system is completely suppressed and she’s having an extremely difficult time fighting off a secondary infection.

If we don’t get a second opinion on her within the next two days we’re for sure going to have to euthanize her. She’s in pain right now, and there’s no guarentee that a second opinion would help, but we’ve drained our bank accounts trying to help her.

The picture above was taken moments ago. She looks miserable. This is a picture taken when she’s herself:

Much happier and proud after demolishing the hot dog scratcher. I want to try to exhaust every opportunity I have to see her back to this.

I understand these kinds of posts go around a lot. Please consider donating to my paypal (bananakins22@gmail.com) to cover the costs of any tests she may need and if it really comes down to it, the euthanasia. Please, she’s the love of my life. If you can’t afford to donate, please reblog to spread the word about FIV. Make sure you know if your furbabies have it. There are ways to prevent secondary infections from getting this bad. Kitties with FIV can live long healthy lives. As long as you know about it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and to look at my darling Pixel baby. Again, my paypal is bananakins22@gmail.com. Thank you

Update: thanks to the generosity of complete strangers I can afford the office visit for the specialist. We’re not sure how much everything else will cost yet, but I am floored and humbled that anyone donated. Thank you for continuing to spread this.

*URGENT UPDATE*

We have a better idea of the base costs at the moment and I set up a godundme. It’s urgent we get this taken care of, but there’s a chance we can save her. Thank you to those who have already donated and thank you to everyone who is still passing this around

Whenever a wise guide in a fantasy show tells the hero they have to “let go of attachments” to be a hero I just want to smack them in their stupid face because our love for others is what drives us to do good you stupid fucking mentor figure.

you can just say the Jedi order

mutuals, talk to me: why is giffing so addicting? like, we don’t get paid for it, it takes a shit ton of time to do, Photoshop is a menace, people steal our work and say they ‘found it on The Internet™ uwu’ (where do you think The Internet™ found it, Jan?), our creations flop like limp dicks dead fish all the time because no-one reblogs anymore in this cursed era of tumblr — and yet, whenever I’m bored, my go-to entertainment is giffing something. I watch movies or shows and I make note of aesthetic shots automatically, I see a scene and think ‘yeah, gotta gif this right here.’ what’s up with that? why do we do this to ourselves?
